The Riverina Eastern Regional Organisation of Councils (REROC) hosted free presentations across Lockhart, Gundagai, Coolamon, Junee and Holbrook last week, led by MRA Consulting Mike Ritchie, to help local businesses understand their obligations under the new FOGO (Food Organics and Garden Organics) waste mandates, which require food waste-generating establishments to separate organics at the source. This initiative aims to reduce the amount of food waste going to landfills and promote its recycling into compost.
