Saturdays, which is the main day for the Men’s competition, are proving to be a big drawcard for players with numbers increasing every week.

A total of 43 took to the course this week to enter the first round of the Lethbridge Memorial Par event sponsored by Lake Talbot Tourist Park.

The competitions popularity over the past few months has now provided an A and B division, something not always possible for some time.

The winner of this round in the A division was Craig Curry with a score of plus 2 and in B grade, Shaun Gehringer was the winner with a score of plus 2 also. Balls went to minus three.

The second round will be held next Saturday, July 28 and this game is sponsored by Hall’s Accounting.

Wednesday is more “social” although still as competitive, and the winner of the Stableford was John Prior with a score of 36pts and the runner-up was Graeme Terlich with a score of 35pts. Balls went to 33pts.

The “Chook Run” was a win for Steve Gehringer with a score of 30nett and runner up was John Tuckett with 33nett on countback.

In the Ladies competition held on Wednesday, July 15 their game was a Stroke event and the winner was Lyn Martin with a score of 73 nett and runner up was Judy Heckendorf with a 74 nett.

Karen Grant won the Putting event with 28 putts.

Saturday's Stableford was won by Jan McGilvray with a score of 35pts and runner up was Karen Grant with 34pts on a countback. Wednesday, July 15 was also the fourth round of the WGNSW Medal.
