Other RDBA events are listed so call into the club and check the notice board for nomination details. Nominations for the Mitchel Triples are now being called for and they close Monday, August 10. Play starts August 15-16.

Rum Cup nominations close Friday, July 24 and hopefully will be played Saturday July 25. See the notice board for details.

Due to current COVID restrictions, it is with regret the standard invitation to surrounding clubs to attend this event could not be issued. We all hope we can run the event again next year with invitations being sent to our neighbouring clubs.

However, for this year, only our local bowlers are making the teams and placings are capped at 20. Our home bowlers have really stepped up and there is only a couple of spots left, so don’t miss getting your team in.

There was a good turnout last Wednesday of happy bowlers ready to enjoy a round of Social Bowls. Taking home the winners grins were the triples team of Peter Durnan, Wayne Norden and new comer, Brooke Ingram.

Congratulations also to Brooke, Peter and Wayne for taking out the progressive jackpot of $475. Not a bad start to the game for Brooke having a triple win for the day; her first game of bowls, being in the winning team and taking out the jackpot.

Wrong Bias fines were recorded from Wayne Norden and Kevin Thomson.

Sunday Social was back on last Sunday with Geoff Angove, Daryl Crawford and Dexter Briggs the happy winners for the morning. The progressive jackpot was not won and now sits at $20.

Anyone intending on having a roll-up at any time, please follow the COVID rules regarding mats, jacks and distancing on greens.
