Gillenbah Rural Fire Service is looking for new members to bolster its ranks and become part of the team.
As well as seeking adult members, the brigade is looking to attract the younger generation, hoping to get juniors aged 12–16 years old to volunteer.
The training offers, real skills, real teamwork and a real community connection.
Anyone who is thinking of joining can contact the Gillenbah crew on its Facebook page.
The Gillenbah Brigade, which hosted a training night last week, recently celebrated 70 years of service, dedication and community spirit.
For seven decades, its volunteer members have been protecting lives, property and each other.
The new Life Members at the celebration included Graham Block, John Wiltjer, Peter Simpson and Mark Whitby.
Meanwhile, Gillenbah RFS is also urging anyone who is dumping machine or car batteries to donate them to the RFS to help the local team recycle them to buy equipment to help its volunteers.
Free pick-up is available.
