Lockhart Shire Council’s Australia Day celebrations guest speaker will be Rob Caslick who believes that sharing good food can change lives.
His passion for connecting people through meals began at age 12 when his grandmother introduced him to a soup kitchen, planting the seed for a lifelong mission to restore dignity and belonging through food.
In 2010, while working as an engineer in Sydney’s construction industry, Rob founded an organic soup kitchen in Kings Cross.
Its success inspired him to scale the impact, and in 2015 he launched Two Good Co, a social enterprise built on the simple idea: if you buy one, we give one.
Two Good Co empowers women who have experienced domestic violence and homelessness, providing premium catering and personal care products while creating paid employment pathways for vulnerable women – aiming to employ and empower 60 women every year.
Rob’s leadership extends beyond business. In response to the 2019–20 bushfires, he deployed Two Good Co’s social worker to the NSW South Coast to identify urgent needs.
The result was a fresh food and meal delivery service supporting women’s shelters and community organisations for 18 months, continuing today as a quarterly program.
Under Rob’s guidance, Two Good Co celebrated its 10th year in 2025 and graduated the 200th woman from its six-month employment program. Rob is now focusing on affordable housing, with a goal of building 1,000 homes for vulnerable women over the next 10 years.
For Rob, being Australian means honouring our shared history, respecting every person’s contribution, and celebrating a nation where dignity and opportunity are offered at the table. As an Australia Day Ambassador, he looks forward to sharing stories of resilience and inspiring connection through the power of food.
