Lockhart Bowls business house competition kicked off Thursday night with 16 teams.

Several close games were played with Specials beating Delta Ag 11-10 and Fire and Rescue beat Hounsell and Sons 15-13.

Overall, it was a great start with VTX Fuels on top with 21 points, Ex-Services Club second on 20 points and Fire and Rescue third on 19 points.

A big thank you to Hounsell and Sons for once again sponsoring the business house bowls. They have been strong supporters for the past few years.

On Saturday, January 16 bowlers travelled to Yerong Creek for the Shire Shield with Steve Johnstone and Barry Love having wins on their rinks, Jason Healy and Max Montgomery both had draws in two very close games.

This was enough for Lockhart to bring home the shield. Thanks to Brandan Barrat and Rex Sheather for filling in.

Jackpot bowls on Sunday morning at 10am is up and running – come and have a fun morning.
