The organisers of the iconic Spirit of the Land Festival have confirmed the event will return to Lockhart on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, celebrating a major milestone, 20 years of the festival.

To mark this significant anniversary, the festival’s flagship National Farm Art Sculpture award prizemoney will double to $20,000 in 2026, recognising two decades of artistic excellence, innovation, and community pride.

Established in 2006, the Spirit of the Land Festival has grown into one of regional New South Wales’ most respected cultural events, drawing artists and visitors from across Australia.

The festival showcases large-scale farm art sculptures, fine art and photography exhibitions, curated markets, live entertainment, open gardens and family-friendly activities, all set against the distinctive rural landscape of Lockhart.

The increased prizemoney reflects both the festival’s longevity and its ongoing commitment to supporting artists who creatively interpret the Australian landscape and rural life through sculpture and reused materials.

The 2026 Festival will continue to feature a suite of sculpture award categories, alongside the highly anticipated outdoor sculpture exhibition displayed throughout the Lockhart township.

Further details regarding sculpture award entries, artist submissions and the festival program will be released in the coming months.
