Narrandera Eagles A grade netball team went down in a convincing loss against the Wagga Tigers.
The Eagles started strong, had some great attacking plays and used their strong centre court to move the ball through easily.
The Tigers defence was well trained and their overall team dynamic got the best of Narrandera at the end of the day. The Eagles were missing a number of key players and many A graders also had to play out of position. Best on court went to Jasmine Gilmore who battled all day in defence, second best went to Marnie Grintell who stepped up into Goal attack and worked the circle well
The Eagles A reserve went down to Wagga Tigers, with some great passages of play through the centre court the girls showed they have many skills to be developed.
Despite missing many players, the girls stepped up and played positions out of their comfort zone, this allowed for us to utilise the variety of players we have.
The B-grade side was defeated by Wagga 53-30.
The C-grade girls unfortunately went down against Wagga Tigers 47 - 5 and the awards went to Paige Godden and Lara Demamiel.
The Under-17 girls won 26 to 24 over second placed Tigers and awards were - Original Skin: Brooke Hall, and Body Shop - Mikayla Towers.
