Yanco Agricultural High School sent a team of dedicated sheep and cattle show stock students to Henty with 12 sheep and 12 cattle and they absolutely made the most of every opportunity.

The day kicked off with Junior Cattle Judging, where Year 12 student Kaity L progressed through to the oral section - a fantastic achievement against strong competition.

In the Steer Judging– Middleweight Category YAHS was third in the Shorthorn Heifer Section.

YAHS students then stepped into the ring for the Paraders Competition with outstanding results:

After the sheep and cattle judging events concluded, three students stayed on to compete in the Fleece and Grain Junior Judging qualifiers for the opportunity to progress to Sydney.

A huge congratulations to Riley Dunstan, who placed second in the Grain section and has now qualified to represent the group at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in April – an outstanding achievement.

It was fantastic effort from everyone involved. The teamwork, dedication, preparation and professionalism displayed throughout the day was something that made the school very proud.
