Adam Flagg has recommitted to play for the Barellan Two Blues for the 2026 season.

Flagg is well known around Barellan. He popped up for a number of second-grade games last year before heading overseas, but is now settled back in with no big travel plans so is able to give the team a strong commitment moving forward.

His footy resume speaks for itself. Time with the Giants early days, SANFL experience, and more recently success in the Ovens and Murray League with the Lavington Panthers.

He returned to his home club at the Jets but has always had strong family and friendship ties to Barellan, which was lucky to have him become part of the community last year and again this year.

Flagg will be the first to say he’s past his peak years, but his clean hands, leadership, experience and voice out there will be invaluable. Especially with what’s shaping as a dynamic forward group in 2026.

His impact won’t just be on the scoreboard, it’ll be across the group.

James Rourke is also officially on board for the 2026 season.

James has been one of the most consistent trainers over the past month. He’s a player the club has been trying to lure across for a few seasons, so it’s great to finally have him part of the footy club, especially with the family connections to the Two Blues.

After playing all his senior footy with Leeton, James has built a reputation as one of their most reliable performers at only 19 years of age.

He’s played just about everywhere as a senior footballer - on-ball, ruck, wing, half-forward, backline, defensive mid - and brings a seriously exciting mix of fitness, strength and explosiveness. What stands out most though is his defensive mindset and team-first attitude.

Even better, his father Gerard, a former premiership player and assistant coach with the Two Blues in the 90s, will be back involved in an off-field role helping the senior group on game day.
