BOWLS
Narrandera Bowling and Recreation Club is conducting its inaugural Mixed 3 Bowls Pairs Competition on Saturday, 2 May.
The event will start at 9.30am with the format being three games with 14 ends, with a re-spot on killed ends.
The cost to enter will be $80 per team and lunch will be provided.
Lunch Provided
The prizemoney on offer includes $800 for the winning team, $600 for the runners-up and $450 for third place.
There will also be $100 up for grabs for the round winners in each round but there is only one prize per team.
Entries will close on 26 April at 5pm, or when full (28 teams registered).

CLOSURE
Narrandera Shire Council advises that all the council facilities will be closed on Thursday, 19 March to allow staff to participate in essential training.
This includes the council’s administration building and all council-operated facilities and services.
The regular operating hours will resume on Friday, 20 March.
The council apologised for any inconvenience and appreciates the community’s understanding as it invests in staff development.

AGM
Narrandera Golf Club is conducting its annual general meeting on Sunday, 29 March at 11am.
The AGM will be followed by a BBQ lunch.
PLAYGROUND
Narrandera Shire Council is seeking community feedback on proposed new playground equipment for the Barellan Hall Park.
As part of the council’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving community facilities, it is exploring options to upgrade the playground area to meet the needs of local children and families.
The council is encouraging residents to look at the proposed playground equipment designs and offer feedback, which will play an important role in guiding the council’s final decision.

WATER UPGRADE
Narrandera Shire Council will be conducting watermain replacements on Whitton Street, between Margaret Street and Elizabeth Street from 23 March to 24 April 2026, to improve the reliability and quality of the water network.
Residents in this area may experience temporary water disruptions during the works.
Affected residents will also receive written notification.
Please take extra care when entering and exiting your property while construction is underway.
CHARITY DAY
Narrandera’s JD Cup charity golf and bowls day is set down for Friday, 10 April.
The format is a four-person team event, however, individuals can enter and will be allocated to a team.
Graded and ungraded players are welcome.
The event will start with a breakfast at the golf club at 8.30am, followed by a 10-hole, 4-person Ambrose event.
Lunch will take place at the bowls club and will be followed by an afternoon of bowls.
The format is four people – one bowl – five ends.
The day will climax with a presentation ceremony.
A bus will be available to travel to and from both clubs.
Cost to enter will be $50 per player which covers green fees and breakfast and lunch.
