Construction works for the Narrandera High School shade structure project have begun with the rest of the work to continue throughout the remainder of the term.
The project expected to be completed by the start of the 2026 school year.
These planned improvements include:
• Two large shelters, each measuring 12m by 12m with seating for 30 students, to be built on the agricultural farm and in the playground near the cricket nets.
• A roof installation over the concrete area near the lift on the Leavenworth Street side of the school.
• Ten smaller shelters with seating, to be constructed around the school grounds, most of which will be near the school ovals.
Some playground areas will be restricted during the construction period for safety reasons. Additionally, one entry point to the school on Lethbridge Drive will be closed for part of the construction time.
