Police attached to Narrandera HWP detected a White Mitsubishi Outlander travelling above the sign posted speed limit on Irrigation Way Narrandera on 30 November. The vehicle was stopped a short distance away.

The driver of the white Mitsubishi Outlander, a 38 year old male from Narrandera, was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.

The driver was placed under arrest and conveyed to Narrandera Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis which returned a reading of 0.187 grams of alcohol per 210 litres of breath.

The driver was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of “Drive with High Range PCA and his licence suspended on the spot until the matter is heard at Narrandera Local Court

on 18 December.

Less than 24 hours later, about 10.10am on Monday 1 December, Narrandera HWP observed a white Holden Commodore travelling south on Margaret Street Narrandera.

The vehicle was stopped, with the driver being a 51 year old male from Narrandera.

He was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.

The driver was placed under arrest and conveyed to Narrandera Police Station, where he underwent a Breath Analysis which retuned a reading of 0.189 grams of alcohol per 210 litres of breath.

The driver was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of “Drive with High Range PCA and his licence suspended on the spot until the matter is heard at Narrandera Local on 18 December.

Police wish to remind the public as the festive season approaches, that persons wishing to consume alcohol are reminded of the slogan “RBT Means You Need A Plan B”.
