LEETON trainer Peter Clancy went one better with Crimson Hoffa to take out the 1600m maiden plate on his
 home track on July 27.

The Leeton Jockey Club hosted the Corowa race meeting due to the NSW-Victorian border closure. With the track rated a soft five, the seven race card was well supported by trainers from throughout southern NSW.

The four-year-old gelding, Crimson Hoffa, had ran a second to Pacific Tycoon at Narrandera on July 19 and
completed the journey at Leeton in 1.37.28.

Ridden by apprentice Josh Richards, the gelding started at $4.20 and beat Sunstone into second place followed
by Awadhi. Peter Clancy also scored a third in the 1050m Benchmark 58 handicap
 with Diamonds for Alice.

Wagga trainer Trevor Sutherland continued to taste success with Real Key following the galloper’s win at Wagga on May 30. The five-year-old gelding notched up his eighth win from 28 starts, scoring by a half length over the Doug Gorrel trained Exaggerate and a head to Molasses in third. Wagga trainer Scott Spackman took out the 1150m handicap with
Tocatchacod in a time of 1.08.29.

Half a length away in second was Starliv and third Beau Soleil, trained by Samantha McDonald.
