After the retirement of long-serving CEO Ray Carroll, who was part of the organisation for 33.5 years, Kurrajong’s Board of Directors has appointed Chris Clark as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Chris brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across employment, training, and community services.

Most recently, he spent over a decade as General Manager at OCTEC Limited, where he led large-scale programs including Disability Employment Services (DES). In that role, Chris worked alongside staff and participants across the country to expand opportunities for people with disability, young people and families, an experience that aligns closely with Kurrajong’s mission and values.

This depth of experience, paired with his strong commitment to inclusion and independence, makes Chris well-placed to lead Kurrajong into its next chapter.

He is passionate about ensuring services remain focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for people with disability and their communities under the NDIS.

For Chris, this appointment is also a return to his roots. Having grown up in the Riverina, he describes it as “coming home” to an area that has always held a special place in his heart. He is excited to bring his leadership and lived connection back to a region he loves.

“I am extremely honoured to be joining the Kurrajong team and look forward to building on its strong foundation. I’m excited to work with staff, clients, and partners to continue delivering services that make a real difference in people’s lives,” he said.

Together with his strong business acumen, the Board believes Chris is the ideal person to ensure Kurrajong continues to provide the quality services and supports that Kurrajong’s reputation has been built on.

He is very much aware of the challenges that service providers are presently facing in the NDIS environment and the Board is confident that his leadership will enable Kurrajong to meet these challenges and continue to grow, innovate and deliver meaningful outcomes for the people and communities the organisation supports.

He officially commenced duties in the position on Monday 25 August.
