Sunday was a great day for the junior Lizards with the under 11 league tag girls heading to Hay. Although only having limited numbers and needing to borrow two players from Hay the girls put in a big effort by all resulting in a good win for the girls.
All girls played their best and really showed some skill and determination with special standouts being Alice and Harper going home with the game day awards. Good job girls and keep up the hard work. Big thank you to Thea for playing up and showing us her amazing footwork.
Under 13s LT
Thank you to all families that travelled to Hay for the day. The girls played really well, their skills and confidence are improving each week with the results showing in Sunday’s game.
All the girls were fantastic in their defence with some really great tagging, especially on the try line.
Six tries were scored with Sienna Lyons crossing the line three times. Other try scorers were Ruby Eldridge, Ainslie Clark and Mia Whillans all scoring one try each.
A big thanks to the younger girls from the Under 9s and U11s for stepping up and filling spots in the team playing back to back games.
The girls came away with their first win of the season with the final score being 24-8.
The McDonalds team award went to Ainslie Clark and the Trims Collective award went to Ruby Eldridge.
