Twenty-three Agriculture students and 26 Angora Goats boarded the bus and trailer for the 2025 National Angora Trophy Show at 6.30am Friday morning March 7.
The team travelled to Goulburn Show Grounds and on arrival students unloaded the animals and set them up in their pens ready for the judging in the Youth Competition.
The animals were assessed by the judge and NHS was awarded Champion Buck and Doe. Students were then put to the test in the Led Wether and Open Paraders competition.
Led Wether: 1st Lucy Gooden, 2nd Gene Close, 3rd Emmett Smith.
Open Paraders: 1st Charli Church, 2nd Emmett Smith, 3rd Jessica Wright.
After judging concluded for the day, NHS set up camp inside the shed and headed off to the Paragon Café for a meal and a quick shop at Woolworths to organise food for the next day.
Saturday started early with the open competition. Students presented the schools animals and helped other exhibitors in the preparation and presentation of their animals.
During the day all Students also acted as stewards, helping the judge and show organisers in the running of the show ring. This was a great help to all involved and contributed to the running of the event.
A huge thank you to Mrs Ostler for helping over the two days. Matt Shady, Agricultural Teacher.
