Narrandera is hosting a special exhibition of Blessed Carlo Acutis who is to be made a saint on Sunday 7 September, 2025, at the Vatican.

The free exhibition will be held at the hall at St Joseph’s School (entry via Larmer St) – see entry details below.

The 15-year-old Carlo Acutis was born 3 May, 1991, in London, England and died 12 October, 2006, in Monza, Italy. In his 15 years of life, he lived an exemplary good life and had a big impact on many people.

In almost 20 years since his death many Catholics throughout different parts of the world are claiming he is having a big impact on their lives. He was a very intelligent child being able to say words from three months of age and when he was seven years old he made his First Holy Communion in Italy in the Catholic Church.

He was touched by God at this young age and wanted to go to Church every day which he did. Because of this he was very close to God, and he also spent his childhood helping others. He learned how to do computer programming, and for four years he made a website from the age of 11 on Eucharistic miracles that have happened within the Catholic Church. These miraculous events will be on display on panels at the exhibition.

To be made a Catholic saint two miracles need to be approved. Carlo Acutis has performed numerous miracles including:

* the complete healing of a four-year-old Brazilian boy, named Matheus, who was born with a malformed pancreas who was cured after venerating a Carlo Acutis relic.

* a young Costa Rican woman’s brain haemorrhage miraculously disappeared after praying to Carlo Acutis.

As a part of the exhibition people will be able to pray with a relic of Carlo.

Come be inspired (and possibly cured yourself) in St Joseph’s school hall (entrance is free via Larmer St main school entrance).
