Art Festival on Ford is a celebration of all things art and culture taking place this Saturday from 10am until 7pm in the main street precinct of Ganmain.
The small village is expected to swell significantly with visiting artists, displays, creative market stalls, musicians and the Wagga City Male Rugby Choir performing.
The iconic Ganmain Hall will be open and filled with a range of art on show. The opportunity to chat with some of the artists is always well received as they share insights into how their artworks evolved and the creative process.
A family friendly event, children are encouraged to visit Lush Creative Galleries and become rock stars by painting a rock to take with them or leave for someone else to find in the main street.
While the kids are occupied adults can take a peek inside the Gallery space and discover where several budding local artists are developing their skills under local artist Linda Nolan. This hub of creatives has created lovely social connection within the community.
While in town be sure to pop into the new studio of artist Bec Cutler to view a range of silk scarves, lampshades and fabrics featuring nature prints.
Then move across the road to Studio Ganmain where Hilary showcases sculptural pieces and fabulous finds.
Step inside Faraway on Ford to be lost in a world of pre-loved books, including many on art, as well as vintage artefacts.
By then visitors may need to grab coffee from Fisher and Farmer Homewares on their way!
The local Craft Cottage and Curio, Baldo's secondhand shop and Ganmain Op shop are also worth a visit.
As the evening sets in drinks are available at Ganmain Hotel and people can enjoy entertainment in the Hall plaza by the Ironbark band. These blokes will lift the energy after the sweet harmonies of Wagga City Male Rugby Choir.
Food stalls are catering to dinner and the day is sure to be a great event for the little town of Ganmain and surrounds.
Meet some friends there and help them make it a huge success!
