Narrandera Shire Council is excited to host new Tesla Superchargers at Narrandera Shire Library, marking another significant step in supporting electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and sustainable transport in the region.

Strategically located near Narrandera’s central business district, and open to all compatible electric vehicles-not just Teslas, the four new Tesla Superchargers provide EV motorists with a convenient and efficient charging option. The site’s proximity to East Street offers travellers the opportunity to explore local attractions, dining, and retail while their vehicles recharge.

Narrandera was identified by Tesla drivers as the top priority location in Australia for a Supercharger site during Tesla’s community voting process – highlighting the town’s importance as a strategic stop for EV travel across regional Australia.

Mayor Neville Kschenka welcomed the addition of Tesla facilities, saying it strengthens Narrandera’s position as a key destination for EV drivers and freight operators.

“Council is committed to progressive projects that enhance connectivity and sustainability. Hosting Tesla Superchargers complements our existing EV infrastructure and aligns with our strategic vision to make Narrandera a vital stopping point for EV travellers,” Cr Kschenka said.

Each Supercharger is equipped with cutting-edge technology delivering up to 300kW, enabling most Tesla vehicles to recharge up to 282km in around 15 minutes – helping drivers get back on the road quickly and confidently.

Cr Kschenka added, “This initiative keeps Narrandera at the forefront of sustainable energy projects and demonstrates our dedication to supporting both residents and visitors.”
