Narrandera Rescue Squad - NSW Volunteer Rescue Association Inc, Leeton Rescue Squad members and NSW SES Narrandera Unit crews were involved in a stock rescue operation on Monday afternoon.
The operation went late into the evening after reports more than 80 sheep were stranded in flood water.
All of the sheep were safely removed and relocated to safe ground.
Five boats were involved in the rescue which took in total eight hours on the water.
The sheep owners Pete and Deb Emery of Waterview AG expressed their appreciation to the personnel from Narrandera VRA, Leeton VRA, Narrandera SES and Leeton SES for their assistance yesterday in boating their sheep out of the floodwater.
“They all went went above and beyond with their help, the couple said.
