Barellan Show has been a part of Barellan for 95 years and continues to be an exciting event that the community looks forward to each year.

Barellan Show Society president Joanne Ohlsen said last year’s show was a great success and organisers were hoping for an even bigger crowd this year.

“The crowd seemed to really get behind the young women event, fireworks, quick shear, cross cut saw competition and the horse/trotting events and we are hoping this will be the case this year.

“The NSW sheepdog trials were also popular,” she said.

Now the committee is looking forward to an exciting 2023 Show offering these events and more, with Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke MP to officially open this year’s 96th Annual Barellan show.

About 500 people attended the 2022 show and this year the committee is hoping for even more this year.

There will be an abundance of attractions including the young woman award, junior showgirls and beau of the show competition, art and craft pavilion, Aussie kick/netball throw competitions, machinery displays, show and shine, old Kentucky animal farm, aero bounce and more.
