The Narrandera Arts and Creative Network (NACNet) is planning several workshops over the next few weeks at the Arts Hub at Narrandera Railway Station.
There will be a Traces of the Landscape: Nature Journalling and Mixed Media Layers workshop with Sophie Chauncy on Thursday, 12 March and Thursday, 19 March, between 6pm and 8pm.
Participants need to attend both sessions.
Sophie brings her energy, passion and skills, taking participants along with her to create something they can take home and continue to explore.
Sophie will teach participants how to observe and gather inspiration from local river systems and plant life, then translate these impressions into expressive journal pages using watercolour, ink, graphite, charcoal and simple mark-making tools, incorporating natural materials such as leaves and feathers.
The cost for the workshop includes all materials for both sessions and the fee structure is based on NACNet membership.

On Saturday, 28 March, there will be a Pysanky Egg Decorating workshop with Lindee Russell from 1pm to 4pm.
Join Lindee for a fun afternoon and learn this traditional Ukrainian egg decorating technique that uses a wax-resist technique to create stunning, colourful designs on eggs.
Starting with raw eggs, participants will apply intricate designs using wax and vibrant dyes, layering colours to achieve beautiful patterns.
A list of materials will be provided on booking.

NACNet also conducts a range of regular programs each Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.
On the third Wednesday of the month, Susan Bannister hosts “watercolour explored”, where she shares demonstrations and guides participants through activities to enhance their watercolour skills.
These sessions start at 5.30pm.
NACNet memberships are per calendar year (Jan to Dec) and start from $20 for general members.
