Narrandera Shire Council has voted to renew a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the council and Playgroup NSW and the Narrandera Playgroup at its February meeting last week.

The council endorsed the Narrandera Playgroup to continue using the weatherboard-clad building at the back of the Narrandera Emergency Operations Centre at 17-19 Twynam Street, for two years, starting from 17 February.

The council retained the valuable partnership with Playgroup NSW and the Narrandera Playgroup by entering into the new MoU, which was due to expire at the end of last year.

The Narrandera Playgroup will use the building on Tuesdays and Fridays each week for about three hours for a children’s play group.

Council will apply an annual hire charge of $400 plus GST to help contribute to costs such as electricity, water consumption, gas consumption, sewer usage and ground maintenance.
