Regional local government councils including Narrandera came together again for the eighth annual Cootamundra Mayoral Summit hosted by the Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke this week.
Ms Cooke said it was clear that health, water security and safer roads remained top priorities right across the electorate
“That means continuing the fight for modern hospital infrastructure in Cootamundra, Coolamon and Grenfell, pushing for long-overdue water upgrades in towns like Boorowa and Narrandera and securing critical safety improvements to the roads, bridges and rail crossings that families rely on every day,” she said.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve delivered in recent years, including brand-new hospitals for Cowra and Temora, but there is always more work to be done!
“A huge thank you to the mayors and council representatives who attended and continue to advocate so strongly for their communities:
• Mayor Paul Best and general manager Matthew Sykes of Weddin Shire Council
• Mayor Paul Smith and general manager Paul Devery of Cowra Shire Council
• Mayor Brian Ingram and general manager Anthony O’Reilly of Hilltops Shire Council
• Deputy mayor Lisa Minogue and general Manager Grant Banker of Bland Shire Council
• Mayor Neville Kschenka and general manager Timothy Coote of Narrandera Shire Council
