Narrandera High School Term 2 of Week 10 was the school’s work experience program involving 50 Year 10 students participating in their first work experience placement. New careers advisor Judy Ing, who replaced Brett Ireland, said the work experience program provides students with an invaluable insight and learning opportunities in real work environments.

“Students were provided with an amazing variety of experiences with our incredibly generous employers and community groups. These experiences allow students to build on their workplace communication, self-confidence and team work skills, while gaining invaluable insights to specific industries and career opportunities,” she said.

Students were able to gain clarity in their chosen career direction, subject selections and possible alternate pathways.

Ms Ing said thanked all the host employers and community groups for their participation in the first instalment of the NHS Work Experience Program for 2022.

“We appreciate that it takes time and dedication to host a student and we value this contribution to our student’s learning, career development and the continued success of our work experience program here at Narrandera High.”
