Narrandera Hospital Auxiliary presented Nurse Unit Manager of the General Ward at Narrandera Hospital Jasmine Morrison with gift bags that contain toiletries for patients.
These bags will be given to patients that have that unexpected visit to the hospital and contain toothbrush and paste, body wash, deodorant and shampoo.
The bags were made at Sew Fab in Narrandera thanks to Leanne and her team.
The auxiliary’s major project is to replace the ageing lockers on the General ward with new Patient Bedside Lockers for all rooms.
At the last meeting members had a tour of the Hospital and saw so many projects and purchases that it had donated over the years.
“It was lovely seeing the General Ward looking so bright and well kept,” a spokeswoman said.
One of the auxiliary’s latest projects was to replace all the TVs in the General Ward, 22 in total, so that patients have access to most channels.
The Auxiliary also furnished the patient sitting area in the General Ward so they can make a cuppa, have a chat away from their bed, have a family meeting with the medical staff or just watch TV on the big screen.
Anyone who would like to help raise funds for the local hospital is welcome to become a member of the Narrandera Branch of the Hospital Auxiliary.
Its next meeting is on March 6 2025.
