Barellan Toddler Pool was officially opened at the weekend, adding to the already great facilities at the swimming complex.

This project was made possible through Narrandera Shire Council funding and grant support under the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Phase 4 Program.

The complex now features a 25 metre six lane pool, toddler pool, solar heating, solar blankets, a kiosk, barbecue facilities and large shady picnic areas, providing an ideal place for birthday parties, family outings or just to cool off with the family on a hot day.

Narrandera Shire Council engaged ELM Aquatics for the design and construction of the state-of-the-art facility, which includes a fully tiled 9m x 12.8m zero-entry toddler pool. This exciting addition to the community is designed with the safety and enjoyment of the youngest swimmers in mind. Construction began at the end of the 2023/24 swimming season and the project was completed on schedule, with handover to the Council on October 4.

The toddler pool is equipped with a variety of family-friendly features, including:

• A zero-entry section for easy accessibility.

• Shaded areas for comfort from the sun.

• Solar heating for a pleasant swimming experience throughout the year.

• Engaging waterplay features to encourage fun and imaginative play.

The new facility reflects the Council’s commitment to enhancing community infrastructure and providing quality recreational options for families in Barellan.
